BAKER'S TWINE... yards and yards and YARDS of lovely baker's twine. roughly 3400, of red and white twine-y goodness. and WHY baker's twine? great question.. i'm not entirely sure myself, but here's one reason, and here's another. i'm also someone who grew up obsessing over stationery and paper... for the sake of looking at it... holding it once in a while... running my hands over the different textures... and just knowing it was there. in my present life... since i get to be a paper nerd for a living, i've turned that unbridled attention onto other things. kitchen gadgets are a big one (which is also why i just love love LOVE real gloss, wedding registry central). looking at my mini bundt cake pan makes me happy. and if i ever decide to get my bake on with bundtlets on the brain i'll have the perfect pan to do it with. same goes for my handful of random kitchen-aid attachments. but there's something so simple and elegant about baker's twine that appeals to me. and it's also something that i have been itching to use... on everything. anything. but especially on the things i ship out to my clients, family and friends. it's like a throw-back to a time where real mail meant more than unsolicited credit card applications, and packages were wrapped neatly in kraft butcher paper and string. it just OOZES, sunshine and good times. ...at least to me anyway.
so now appropriately armed, i'm ready to pass it on. just wait.. you'll be smiling in no time :).
